And I'm back! I didn't feel a need to blog as I was able to outsource it to Alex and Mike (here, here, here and here). But I felt a come back was needed -- Hell even Lindsey has a blog now!
Although this post won't be about my life or work (which are all going great, thanks for asking) instead it will be about UCF.
...oh ok maybe just one quick link to threadless cakes.
Back to UCF! I went to the Black and Gold game with Alex and Celly on Saturday and have been super excited to see the new logo after hearing back in Feb that we were dropping the "Golden" from our name...
...Until I saw Alex's blog post.
Wow, that logo is just horrible. Just not a very iconic image. I was expecting better.
Then I was pointed over to a few color renderings of the logo that were posted on a public message board and I went from hating to being undecided. I'm not going to lie to you...the knights head is pretty neat and for sure a step up from our current logo. Even if it does seem to be Rutgers Cousin. ;).
Any way, let me know what you think about them by commenting below.

OMG! The full UCF logos in all their glorious golden shades!
The Knight head looks pretty ill, though.....

I still think that this is a step backwards.

I like it. Very nice. Like the vegas gold color. Finally UCF will pick a gold color and stick with it, I hope.

The knight bats left-handed. Who knew?

Pretty cool...thanks for posting them. All the other sites on the net censored them off. They're more 'up to date' and modern looking. A lot of schools are going with this look, Army and ECU for example
GO KNIGHTS!!!!!

This logo is ok, but I think it's a step backwards as well. What was wrong with our old logo? It was up to date, cool looking, straight and to the point. I like the old logo much better than this one. How many times does UCF need to change this? How can UCF stamp their image among colleges when they keep changing slogans, logos, shades of gold, etc. every couple of years? Did you know UCF is thinking of adding another color as well???

I don't like it, it appears to be very minor league looking. The logo looks like it should be on the helmet from a defunct XFL team.
